Why makeup? Because nothing beats the feeling of knowing you helped another woman feel like the most beautiful version of herself for some of the most special occasions in her life. Serena has always been passionate about using makeup as a way to uplift and inspire, with her goal always being to ensure that each bride, ball girlie and aspiring makeup lover leaves their appointment feeling empowered and like the most beautiful version of themselves.

 

Serena found her passion for makeup artistry in her last year at college, having always been creative since a young girl. She launched straight into a full time course at Weltec, creating contacts and sourcing outside jobs while studying. Since graduating she quickly built her name within the Wellington fashion and film industry, being sought out by a number of award winning hair stylists, photographers and international clients.

 

Continuing to build her brand and up-skill herself, Serena quickly became the face of the artistry course in Wellington, being promoted on billboards and advertising campaigns while making regular occurrences at Weltec to chat to the next intake of aspiring makeup artists and makeup lovers.

Since finding her passion for makeup artistry, one of Serena's strong morals is surrounding the use of animal testing woth makeup, skincare and haircare products. Serena doesn't support any brands that test their products on animals, employ third party testing companies or sell their products in China.

 

Serena currently resides in Wellington, working part time for one of New Zealand and Australia’s leading makeup retailers, MECCA, while continuing to grow her business. She has flown around New Zealand for jobs, working alongside some of the country’s top creatives and plans to continue her makeup journey overseas when the time is right.
